Dockers | Hardcourt Bike Polo Team

Dockers is sponsoring the team ‘Profane Lobotomy’ for the 2010 Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship in Berlin, Germany. The tournament starts tomorrow, August 13th and goes through Sunday, August 15th and the Profane Lobotomy team will be sporting the new slim fit Khakis. Players of Hardcourt Bike Polo require uniforms that allow for comfort and freedom of movement without excess fabric to get caught in various bike parts like the pedals, chains and cogs – making the slim fit key for playing. The team will be wearing the new Khaki Wader and the new Slim Tapered Khakis available at Urban Outfitters and Dockers Stores.

Hardcourt Bike Polo is played with two teams of three players riding bicycles and using mallets to strike a small street hockey-like ball into a goal. The first team to score five goals – wins. It’s a young sport having roots in Seattle dating back to 2000. In 2004 multiple tournaments started popping up throughout North America and the popularity of the sport grew rapidly. Today there are over 120 teams in the United States, over 60 teams in Europe and teams throughout Asia, Latin America, South America and Australia.
